Sketches are the base for all my paintings. This turtle sketch underwater is one of my very first sketches using a pen. I usually rub a hole in my sketches using a pencil and eraser, because I'm always making changes.
This turtle is one of my favorite, and I think it's pretty cool that I drew it on an airplane thousands of feet above the Pacific, where the turtles live.
